Deodorant Soap for Deer Deterrent

Small soap bars hung from trees or shrubs are effective at deterring deer browse. Hospitality sized deodorant soap bars available as single bars, 50 pack or by the case (500 bars). 1.25 oz. per bar.

1. Leaving packaging in place, drill 1/4 in. hole near middle of bar
2. Thread piece of twine through hole and tie into loop
3. Hang from tree or stake

Note: Experts will tell you that successful deterrence usually requires developing a multi-pronged strategy. Deer will frequently acclimate to a single, unchanging deterrent. Mix things up. Employ visual and sonic deterrents together and be willing to take the time to adjust the position or types of deterrents used. Note too, that it is easier to discourage deer who have not begun to feed in or acclimate themselves to an area. Be ready with an effective response before they become a problem and you will have a greater chance of success.
